When a child learns a rich, beautiful Lutheran hymn, he learns something he can grow into, not something he will grow out of.
“God also established marriage for the procreation of children who are to be brought up in the fear and instruction of the Lord so that they may offer Him their praise”
Each child has been known by God even before birth, and a child will not simply cease to exist when death comes—a child has an eternal soul, which will either be saved or damned eternally.
